Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative Services

Our team of CBHI clinicians focuses on strengthening the family and making it possible for a child to remain in the home. Our interventions are highly structured, tailored to the family’s strengths, and designed in collaboration with all stakeholders. We offer a variety of specialized services, programs, and highly trained professionals to properly assist the child with their exact behavioral health concerns.

Each child has a designated treatment team that will be involved in all aspects of behavioral care in order to promote sustainability for treatment gains. This includes:

  • Enhancing problem solving, limit-setting, risk management, and safety planning
  • Building communication skills to strengthen the family
  • Advancing therapeutic goals
  • Identifying and utilizing community support
  • Facilitating communication with all pertinent stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining a natural support system for the youth and caregiver

We provide CBHI services through three main programs: In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, and In-Home Behavioral Services. Depending on the youth’s requirements, the frequency of visits and services will be properly determined. Each of these services is professionally conducted by a licensed clinician or staff member, and focuses on the primary needs of the individual.

In-Home Therapy

In-Home Therapy is a structured, consistent, strengths-based therapeutic service to treat behavioral health needs, including the improvement of the family’s ability to provide effective support for the individual. Each family’s IHT team consists of a Master’s level clinician, Therapeutic Training, and a Support staff member. In addition, it also offers a combination of family systems therapy, skills training, and support.

Therapeutic Mentoring Services

The Therapeutic Mentoring Services program is provided to youth in any setting where the youth resides, such as the home (including foster homes and therapeutic foster homes), community settings such as schools, childcare centers, or respite settings. TM offers structured, one-to-one, strengths-based support services between a therapeutic mentor and the youth for the purpose of addressing daily living, social, and communication needs.

In-Home Behavioral Services

In-Home Behavioral Services addresses a youth’s behaviors that interfere with successful functioning in the home and community. Each family’s IHBS team consists of a Behavior Management Therapist, and a Behavior Management Monitor with services guided by a licensed clinician. The focus of the professionals will be to improve the behavioral traits of the individual, in order to gain progress with commonplace situations within a home and community setting.

Each of our CBHI services is especially designed to target the needs of the individual, and with the help of our clinicians, we can create a plan that suits the requirements of the child. Not all cases are the same, so it is important that these individual services are utilized to match the child specifically.

The designated treatment team will collaborate effectively in order to provide exceptional skills, and services to the youth. Each of the various programs and therapies are designed to address the behavioral care needed to gain the strengths and improvements for continuous family and community support.
